We are an orthodontic specialty practice. Orthodontics is that branch of dentistry that is devoted to straightening teeth and correcting bites or malocclusions. Dr. Schipper has been in the exclusive practice of orthodontics since 1974.

There is no ìone right wayî to resolve orthodontic problems. We select the most appropriate treatment and appliance(s) on an individual case-by-case basis. We will employ one or any combination of the following:

Growth guiding appliances (headgear, functional eg. Bionator)
Removable appliances (retainers, bite plates)
Braces (regular or clear)
Invisalign (clear mouthpieces)
Extractions (in conjunction with braces)
Jaw surgery (non-growing patients)

At the initial consultation Dr. Schipper will perform an examination. He will then discuss his findings with you including the nature of the problem, the treatment required and the best time to start the treatment. Our treatment co-ordinator, Jill, will discuss fees, payment options and appointment scheduling with you at this same visit.

Most orthodontic problems can be treated in two to three years with a retention period following to allow the teeth to settle into their corrected positions.
